Repairing JVC Decks

My girlfriend has a JVC KD-AR5000 that's starting to do some funky things. While it's probably easier to simply replace it, the deck is decent and it's a shame to throw away something that used to cost quite a few hundred dollars. On top of that, I lent her my new JVC KDR900 while I see if anything can be done with this one and she still prefers her old 5000. *shrug* Anyway, I was wondering if there are any places that can repair JVC decks that are out of warranty.

Right now, the deck will occasionally make electronic static in the middle of playing a song and will continue on, even if the car is turned off and the faceplate isn't in. As well, there are times when you touch the touchscreen and it automatically turns the sound down (kinda like ATT) but any attempts to bump the sound back up to the original level fail. It almost seems like there's a loose connection somewhere between the mechanized angled thingamajig that the faceplate sits on and between the rest of the unit, since when it becomes staticy, I can sometimes fiddle with the front section and the noise will disappear.

Thoughts?
