How to get into the labour force

I`m fresh out of highschool, and I`m looking for a full-time labour job. I`ve been searching jobs as a painter labourer, construction labourer, warehouse labouer, etc. The only thing is that all of them require experience. Do you guys have any tips for me to getting into a laboour jobÉ Especially since I don`t have any experience, I have no idea. Are there any training courses or something that I should get intoÉ

My only relevant experience is working as a stock clerk for Safeway. It seems to me that my lack of experience is all that translates through my resume and cover letter. I will be able to work a labour job because I`m fairly strong, I look like a decent person, and I have decent English.

Thanks in advance guys

Maybe see about the fork life training course at BCIT. It's a few days long and it can't hurt to have on a resume when you want to do warehouse work.

As for construction, wouldn't have been a problem 2 years ago to walk onto a site and ask for a job. Now, you're lucky to have one in that area.

i currently work at a warehouse on mitchell island and they are always hiring, however 75 percent of the people we just hired can't even last 2 days. its a boring, tiring job

not sure about now but superstore warehouse on main and marine drive is or used to be always hiring. just walk in apply and get interview/hired. i think its like $13.45/hr now, youll get all the experience u need for any warehouse job u apply for in the future.
