hope sony comes out with one hahahah |
|
Now how about a Windows Mobile version of this baby?? |
it would be nice if they had automatic transfer/syncing through bluetooth/pc with a SLR. |
^^ why? You can do it via Wifi now. |

Also bluetooth doesnt use as much battery power as wifi. But anyways, what cameras/model has the wifi ? |
Isn't Bluetooth slower than WiFi though? Canon & Nikon both have WiFi attachments that you can put on the camera. EyeFi has an SD card that has built in WiFi. |

hahah but i was thinking with a module built into the phone, not a attachment or add-on |
I dunno about the Nikons, or other Canons, but when I got my 40D, I seriously considered the battery grip that adds WiFi capability. Yes, Bluetooth is MUCH slower than WiFi. Current standard on the market is Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (extended data rate), which is 3Mbit/s. Compare that with 802.11b at 11Mbit/s, 11g at 54Mbit/s, and 11n at potentially up to 600Mbit/s. Bluetooth is also very range-limited: 10m is the max spec for class 2, which is what most devices use. In other words, you pretty much have to be in the same room as the computer. Now imagine with your WiFi-equipped camera, you walk into Starbucks, order up your latte, log on to their WiFi, and automatically FTP all your pictures to your Photobucket account... |
BTW... BT may take less power than WiFi, but it doesn't take 1/10th the power, while it WILL take *at least* 10 times longer to transfer the files. In the end, you're not saving anything. |
With the EyeFi, you just put the SD card into your camera and VOILA! you have a camera that is connected to a network! |
lol @ BT... you really feel like waiting 10 minutes to transfer 30+MB RAW file? |
