Cover your eyes and hide the children, Hamann has unveiled their new Mercedes G55 AMG-based Typhoon.

Set to compete with the 700 hp Brabus G V12 S Biturbo, the Hamann Typhoon features 600 hp (441 kW) and 782 Nm (576 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a high performance HM600 power kit that includes new engine electronics, a beefier belt pulley set, and a revised transmission with its own oil cooler. The net result of all these changes is a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 261 km/h (162 mph).

Hamann's engineers have also tweaked the legendary Geländewagen's styling by adding carbon fiber mirrors, door handles, fender vents, and a massive front grille. Other exterior design changes include a front spoiler with LED-daytime running lights, a revised rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, a six tailpipe exhaust system, 24-inch wheels, and a roof-mounted spoiler.

The unique sporting theme continues in the cabin as the Typhoon features a Hamann steering wheel, aluminum pedals, a 24-piece carbon fiber trim set, illuminated stainless steel door sill plates, and exclusive velour upholstery.

How come no one makes an actual kit for this car? They all end up looking like a G, it would be nice to see something absolutely insane for it. Timpo?

Jackygor 06-27-2009 11:08 PM

Looks hella balling...love the white lip

Harvey Specter 06-28-2009 12:03 AM

ilvtofu 06-28-2009 07:18 AM

Oh, it looks nicer in blue,

The 24" wheels actually look perfect on this car, in terms of proportions, DO WANT!!!
probably 30x the price of my car though....

!Aznboi128 06-28-2009 07:43 AM

um.... thats still pretty ugly

Timpo 06-28-2009 11:35 AM

shenmecar 06-28-2009 01:10 PM

Looks like its been THROUGH a typhoon

tonyvu 06-28-2009 04:49 PM

wheels would look better on a different car.

M U G A T U 06-28-2009 04:56 PM

Black would prolly look better IMO.

thumper 06-29-2009 01:15 PM

i must be the only one here who dosen't like painted wheel lips :(

q0192837465 06-29-2009 01:30 PM

FUGLY. Took away all the functional parts of the G

WHEYsted 06-29-2009 01:36 PM

It's called the Typhoon because it's a ballin way to get out of one.

Cman333 06-29-2009 03:16 PM

Looks like a wannabe Hummer :P

Aesthetically it looks pretty good IMO

maxx 06-29-2009 03:32 PM

a rich russian's car :P

i'm assuming this is close to $200k

ilvtofu 06-29-2009 04:11 PM

Not for 200k canadian for sure,
A G55 goes for 155k Canadian,
Adding those wheels another 10k at least,
Custom interior and engine
Bodykit, paint etc.
I doubt 200k can do it.

maxx 06-29-2009 04:14 PM

lol, a hamman bodykit, wheels and interior stuff will go for much more than you think. i dont have the prices, but an example would be a kleemann bodykit, along with subtle engine upgrades for a CL500 about 6 years ago would cost you about $40,000

ilvtofu 06-29-2009 05:01 PM

I think i saw a brabus bodykit only for a GL going for 30k...
