honda d16y5 into a 93 civic dx what do i need t swap a d16y5 vtech into a 93 civic dx 1.5L |
honda swap its a 2000 si d16y5 in place of a 93 d15b7 |
I'm pretty sure the D15Y5 is NOT from the Si. That motor is from the Civic VX which was designed for fuel economy. Most of the stuff will be a remove and replace affair. The wiring harness will have to be replaced unless you don't mind cutting/splicing up your own masterpiece. The ECU from the Y5 would be needed. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something but that's all I got for you. for the SWAP~ PROS: - Awesome gas mileage - ~10 HP, ~7-8 TQ boost CONS: - Very Poor power/cost ratio... Money is better spent on elsewhere (Z6/Y8 head swap will yield greater gains) |
yeah thanks for the info doing something different now wait for a while till ican get something bigger motor was just cheap wasnt goin for gain yet |
