saw loads of cops blocking off entrance to no 1 from willingdon anyone know whats up?

probably an accident... that areas notorious for them

i saw a tonne of them between canada way and willingdon..dunno if the incident could've been a bit bigger than just an accident .. this was around 11

a car hit the curb at high speed, flew into the air (ALL FOUR WHEELS LIFTED FROM THE GROUND), landed, and caught on fire.

don't have much details as this was told to me by a friend last night who kept going off and off about how crazy the accident was.

from what i saw it looked like a em2 civic, black one

and the whole car was up in flame, i drove by as the cops were arriving.

Yes there was a car fire and the car was off onto the grass. It was right side up so I cannot confirm if it flew into the air or anything.

It was reported on News1130 as I was driving down that way. I saw the smoke so I decided to check it out. When I got there the fire was just put out was smoke was still billowing out. A lot of people pulled over to see what's happening. Police blocked all traffic heading east trying to get onto the HWY from Willingdon.

well u know how it goes... if they can't put a spin on it as a street race-related event it's not newsworthy :rolleyes:

my buddies and I saw this too when driving eastbound on Hwy 1. there were shitloads of cop cars.

Saw this aswell a couple nights ago, what time did it happen at? cos i passed by there at night time and the whole ramp was still blocked off by cops

I think there may have been someone in the car still. When i rode by, I saw the fire department cutting into the car while it was still billowing black smoke.

I can't imagine any reason for them to try to cut into that thing while it's still smoldering like that unless there was a person inside.

was the car on willingdon heading north when this happened? or was it a car on the willingdon-north offramp?
