Washing Designer Jeans

How do you guys wash your designer jeans like True Religions, R&R etc..

do you guys just throw 'em in the wash like any other pair or you have a certain method of washing it?

flip them inside out and skip the dryer

flip inside out, cold water, hand wash cycle and I only do 2 pairs max at a time. Hang dry it, dont throw them in the dryer.

^ I thought that's how you wash all jeans. At least I do that regardless if it's designer or not....

It is lol. But with designer jeans, they mention to wash one @ a time. I dont have the patience for that and it's a huge waste of water.

Do a presoak with jeans and wash em once every month or so.

It they smell, Febreeze or stick'em in the fridge. Once they get dirty, wipe 'em with a damp towel. If you do have to wash them, turn them inside out and wash them by hand with cold water. Lightly scrub away any stains or marks. Hang dry them outside aswell.

^^ that seems like a over complicated method, that seems to be something you'd do to raw denim. Stuff like TR's, Rocks, etc I think they'll be fine if you just throw them into the washer inside out and hang dry.

I dryclean my jeans.

You can treat any pair of denim with the same amount of care.

The indigo in 'designer denim' runs off so fuckin' fast that they'll lose their character really soon if you wash it conventionally.

holy crap people. it's one thing to take care of your clothes n the way you look...but to baby it like this??

It's like a few of my friends who freak out everytime he spills something (sauce, tea, coffee, hell even water) on his clothes n runs for the tide2go stashed in his murse!

fully hand wash in cold water (use very little clothes detergent). hang dry

I usually don't wash my jeans for at least a month, that's why u get at least 4 or 5 pairs, so you end up only wearing them a few times a month.
Now I've heard you should only wash jeans with jeans, although i don't really bother, and yes inside out, Cold water obviously.

I don't wear my designer jeans when I know i'll get them ridiculously dirty, to work (kitchen) I wear some black AE jeans, since i need to wear long pants.

Tide2go stinks like shit and cologne/febreeze doesn't even cover it up :(

racerman88 07-19-2009 10:05 AM

wash inside out and throw in dryer

crzymofo 07-21-2009 11:42 AM
