HELP: Car deck stopped turning on

Hi,
I've got a 93' accord. The other day for some reason my car aftermarket pioneer deck won't turn on when the car starts. However, when I turn the engine off, the deck ejects properly for removal. also when i try to over crank the engine when starting, the deck will power on temporarily then off. One other problem that has popped up, for some reason the car's clock stops sometimes when i turn the car off and then when i turn the car back on, it will show the same time as when I turned the car off. This doesn't happen all the time, sometimes, but it's really really weird?! It's not like when I disconnect the battery, the clock resets to 12:00. More like I go to the store at 3:45, and when i come back at 5pm, the clock still reads 3:45. crazy. never had this happen before, and don't know if it's related to the deck. I checked the fuse for the deck under the hood and it seems fine. Any ideas???

Did you check the one labeled 'back-up'? Check it with a multi meter or test light... how tight is it? Is it possible that it's not making a proper contact in the fuse holder?

ya, i checked the one labelled backup (radio). it's fine..... plus, if that one was out, then my deck shouldn't eject the faceplate when i turn the engine off?

Best bet is to have one of the sponsors look at it for you. Ever in the Coquitlam area?
