CD Burning Problem So I've been trying to figure out WTF is wrong with my computer for the past 4 hours, I have to be up in 2 hours for a road trip, and I don't know why Itunes, and WMP won't let me burn a CD. Itunes says "disc burner or software not found" and WMP says "connect a burner and restart the player". I've tried re-installing it, looked it up on google and gone to sites and downloaded god knows how many programs, and tried fixing my registry. Any help?? |
Control Panel > Device Manager > CD/DVD Is the driver OK? If it is, maybe the hw broke on you. |
Apparently the driver is ok, I'm running Vista 32-bit, and have the latest version of Itunes. What do I do if the HW broke on me? |
I'm assuming it worked before? Probably the cd writer broke... in which case you would need to buy a new one. |
I'd give you advice, but you're probably on the roadtrip already. |
vista flt |
I'm still having the problem, any tips ? |
go into device manager, make sure the drive isn't disabled or something, that can happen on occasion. |
buy a dvd burner so cheap now it will solve all the problems |
Here's a stupid question: Your DVD Drive says 'DVD Writer' or 'RW' and not just 'DVD ROM' on it, right? Sorry, but it's hard to do this over the internet. |
My cd-driver isn't even showing up anymore, it's all gone now! I went so far as to reformat my computer, BAH ! Anyone know where I can find out what kind of dvd/cd drive it is? and where I can get the driver for it? I have the Hp Pavillion dv2432ca but they don't have anything on the site that's useful |
anyone ?? |
