Maintenance, Engine & Driveline TechThis forum is brought to you by The Speed Syndicate (TSS) in Burnaby. Discussion of maintaining your engine, transmission, differentails, rear ends, and mods associated with "driveline" parts..
i was thinking of picking up a 96~97 delsol vtec trim, which has the b16a2.
First question: what gas do you use for stock engine?
I'm going to use it for autox, and i'm looking for i guess ~220hp and 160~170lbft... so here it goes:
centrifugal SC or a turbo? I really don't want too much lag or too routine of a maintenance, but if anyone is running FI on a b16a2, please share ur experiences.
You should use at least 92 octane in the stock engine
As for the SC or turbo, I'd opt for a SC if the car is for auto-x. Otherwise a small turbo, either way, power may be a little lower than you want, but response is more important in auto-x anyway.
