soooooo... only people who "have a clue" are allowed to comment? my question was legit and i wanted to know why people think the gang squad is useless. i'll be nice and even quote it for you so you can read it again.

i guess i "no have clue" because i don't ever get bothered by any of these gang squads when i go out. As such, i have no problem with them going around and doing something proactively to make things safer for others who are out to have a good time.

gang squad is pretty retarded since they harass randoms that they think look heatscore and often boot ppl who arent even gang bangers out of clubs

but to say it entirely doesnt work is bogus

i know plenty of heat bags that avoid certain clubs or clubbing all together now just cuz they dont want to deal with gang unit or are already black listed / flagged

so it does achieve its intended purpose to an extent

The thing is, even if they slow down the drug trade, there's still going to be criminals looking to make a profit.

If the supply of drugs cuts in half but the demand is still relatively the same, just basic econ 101 will tell you that prices will go up and the addicts will resort to more crime or prositution etc to finance their addition.

Even if we throw the criminals in jail for 10 years, there's many more guys lining up to take their place to make a profit. When the guy comes out of jail he won't be able to find a decent job and will go resort back to crime and could end up back in jail again where our tax dollars go to waste.

The solution lies at the demand side. If we can somehow slow down the demand for drugs, which will never happen because of our messed up culture/society is and how we all love to escape relality and kick back and get high.

So basically, there will always be drug dealers cause people will always want drugs. The best thing to do is to get rid of the violent criminals that cause the most trouble and just hope that violent crimes stay at a minimal.

i think its referring to text messages, for berrys and iphones you can have scramblers that will encrypt ur text before you send it, and then it is decrypted after it is received

both lines will have the program and is password activated... so say i receive an encrypted text i will have to know the password set by the sender to decrypt it

even if the line is tapped, the texts can't be read

It's still their fault. If they want the benefits of acting, dressing, posing like a gangster to pick up chicks in bars and clubs (and outcompete other guys for girls), then they should enjoy the same trouble it brings as well.

TBH, I live in DT. There's not a lot of "REAL" gangsters in Vancouver to consider it rampant. There's just a lot of guys who think they're tough. Kind of gives the impression that there's lots of gangsters around. (But maybe that's just geographic to DT. The dense availability of honey brings the tough guys out of the normal guys).
