Unpaid Salary

Where can I file a complaint of my former employer for unpaid work?

Labour board.

And you better have proof!

try to reason with your employers before taking the legal route though, don't burn your bridges in a recession

Employment Standards Act BC, there's a self help kit on the site http://www.labour.gov.bc.ca/esb/self-help/, which you fill out and send to your former employer. if they dont respond within a certain number of days, you can file a complaint. like the initial response said, for this claim to be justified, you have to have some kind of proof. an officer from ESB will contact you, get your story and call your employer... he'll try to get your money right then and there, but if it doesnt work, you go to a mediator. the mediator will sit down with both of you and hear both sides of the story and look at any proof either of you have and try to resolve it there. if still no resolution, it'll go adjudication, which is basically court with no lawyers. if it goes that far, and you end up winning, he has to pay them, they'll pay you and also fine him.
