Instead of buying the crappy everlast gloves at $40, splurge and get some leather gloves. At my boxing club, we only use Selects to spar and they hold up well.
Just a quick question. Where do you Train. I am looking for a gym near or on the North Shore. I have heard a few things here and there, just wanted more input.
No formal boxing experience. started with tae Kwon do 20 years ago and have done kickboxing, muay Thai, Savat and a little pankration since then. Looking to get 5 bouts under my belt by Aug. 2011 for a tourney I want to participate in. Want to find a decent boxing gym and start from the basics. The foot work and body movement is so different from my past training. I don't want an MMA gym that teaches boxing on the side. So what about Griffins in NV. I have seen some mixed reviews on the web, but what about Coach Howard, he seems to have a lot of experience.
