I love this weather as well and if you're too hot to go to bed try drinking something cold, take a cold shower, turn your fan on and you're good to go. I have AC and I think I've turned it on once because when I wake up my mouth is dry and I feel like I just got off a plane. And quite honestly this has been the best spring/summer in a long time, hopefully it lasts up until end of Sept.

This is the best time of the year and it doesn't last very long, enjoy it well it's here.

Bad news for the people who want cool weather.... Quote:
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - This is no short term hot spell -- News1130 meteorologist Russ Lacate is predicting the trend is going to continue for quite some time.
Expect very warm to hot conditions for the weekend and even into next week. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 20s near the coast and near 30 inland.
The Vancouver Park Board says this heat is getting to be a bit much for our trees and add it's a good idea to water your trees and shrubs. They're surrounded by concrete in many cases and don't get that much water even when it rains.
Carole Defina from the Park Board says if there are trees in your boulevard or planted in the side walk in front of your business, please give them a shot of aqua.
"We ask that they use between 12 and 20 litres of water twice a week on the roots. Lots of water is especially important for young trees."
Defina says a slow running hose used for five to 10 minutes works best, or a couple of dumps from a five gallon pail. She points out trees and shrubs are exempt from summer time watering restrictions and adds trees are very important to help keep the city cool.
Forty-thousand trees have been planted in Vancouver over the past decade and not only are they useful, they're worth millions of dollars.
Park Board arborist Paul Montpellier says unlike unwatered lawns, trees do not rebound well if they go into distress, so it's important to keep them well watered in the first place.
