Just wondering, how much would it cost to just refill my R12 system with R134a? |
You'd be throwing your money away. Just use the diy kit mentioned above |

thing is, you have to evacuate all the R12 from your system before filling with R134a. i tried venting whatever was in the system into the atmosphere and got nothing so i assume whatever was in had already leaked out |
I've seen an R12 compatible kit at walmart |

In theory you could, but you would cause the two coolant to fractuate. Since a R12 system run at a higher pressure, R134a will work fine in the system, however until the compressor and fitting seize and crack. Quote:

They are all HC12 systems. And remember you have to have a PSI gauge to figure out how much you need for your application. A small can won't do you much good, if your system is bone dry empty. Do a proper diagnosis BEFORE you fill the HC12.. they are flammable.. you really don't want your car to literally cook when you are stuck in traffic do you? Quote:
