quick question- going to sTates

for an international student (NOT a canadian citizen) going to the states,

besides a VALID VISA, what ELSE DO YOU NEED?

------> what happens when an I94 is expired???? can you renew this AT THE BORDER?

You will need a jar of vaseline...if you don't know why you will find out when you get to the border...

It means the I94 is invalid.

Yes, you should be able to get a new I94 at the border. You won't be able to use the existing I94. However, it will involve you having to go inside the US Customs building (which can be another long wait in addition to the long wait in line getting to the border) I'm not sure what classification you are entering under, so if it's more than just a visitor's visa, you'll need to bring your paperwork with you.

Visitor visa+passport is all you need.

If the I94 (white little sheet attached in your passport) is expired, going through land is 6USD for it.
