R32 GTR shops??

Hi! I have been looking for local GTR shop to troubleshoot my GTR for a long time......Is there any good reputation shops out there?? I need a shop to troubleshoot my problem, not to modify it.......

Thanks for your comment!

I don't personally know anything about Nissans, but if in doubt, maybe take it back to any Nissan dealership? I mean - they have all the resources. You might burn your wallet though...

depends.. you can start with a consult cable www.ecutalk.com after that, do your own mechanical checks, boost leaks, compression, basic mainteance (plugs, wires, fluids), checking the voltages of sensors.

else u can pay out your arse thru one of the shops like the skyline shop or calasecond

How about The Skyline shop in Abbotsford ? They have loads experience and decent pricing.

you can try us Akira is a 20 skyline vet that all the above mentioned shops have turned to for advise or assistance when the trouble shooting becomes trouble.

went to z tune for before-purchasing-inspection and first oil change. They were helpful for me. As long as you don't want to get down and dirty to learn how to do stuff with ur gtr i think it's a pretty good place to go. If you've got a gtr b ready to spend the moneys. heard real bad stuff about the skyline shop and takeda is known for their high prices but all just from word of mouth... never tried them myself

z tune or RG should be able to diagnose.

I know for sure z tune has a consult scanner. Helps diagnosis ten fold.

What is your car doing? I might be able to diagnose over the internet. lol. maybe...

Both RG and z t u n e have consult cables, they need it to tune Reytec and Nistune.
Both shops you'd be happy with.

I've heard some awfull things about the Skyline Shop, plus vancouver to abbotsford isn't worth the drive.

Walperstyle 04-20-2010 09:41 AM

Don't take your skyline to a nissan dealership. 99% of them are way too expensive, and 98% wont even touch it.

a RB26 and a 2jz, and any other inline efi turbo 6 is troubleshooted the same.

You could go onto www.gtrcanada.com and maybe tell people your problems, be specific and make sure to read and search the forum and the internet, because chances are other people maybe with other engine have had the same problem as you.
