Exhaust leak

Hi,

I got an aftermarket header installed and the shop said that the header is short. Its between the end of the header and the cat (i think). They cant tighten up the bolts anymore cause it may snap and now i have an exhaust leak

Do you guys know how to close this gap? should i get thicker gasket?

is the aftermarket header the same size as the stock one? because if it isn't you have the wrong header.

how short is short? if its not TOO much of a gap then you can use a thicker gasket.

Yeah, theyre the same size. The gap is about .5 inch short

That's a huge gap to bridge with gaskets. You'll simply blow them out after a short while.

Get someone to make a flange spacer out of the shape of the gasket.
