Xfactor Detailed: Audi A8L Got the opportunity of detailing an Audi A8 today. This car is owned by the same person who owns the modded 996 turbo I did yesterday. He left the car over night with me and I started around 11:00am and finished closed 6:30pm. Driving this car was amazing, feels like your driving on a cloud. I have a whole new respect for luxury cars now. The steering was so easy and smooth, all in all Audi did an excellent job with this car. Just right now, definitely not the car I would get...specially not with gas prices now. Anyways here are the products and tools used. My Meguiars Wheel Brush could not have done this good of a job on the rims without taking them off! Now on to the pictures! Trunk jamb was filthy! http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/003-3.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/004-3.jpg Interior: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/005-3.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/006-3.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/007-3.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/010-3.jpg Notice the metal trim http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/011-3.jpg Not bad http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/012-3.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/013-3.jpg Sorry for the blurry picture http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/014-3.jpg |

Gloss-It Signature Tire Gloss, my favourite tire dressing for sure! http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/057-1.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/058-1.jpg Wheels After http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ling/059-1.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/060.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/061.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/062.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/063.jpg Cleaned the spare wheel http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/064.jpg MS SGS dwelling http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/065.jpg 50/50 http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/066.jpg |
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/068.jpg Much better, best I could do with APC http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/069.jpg This was on the metal door trim, it took forever to get it off, I had to pick at it with my nail. Then I got rid of the glue residue with some IPA http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/070.jpg almost there http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/071.jpg gone! http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/072.jpg Interior afters...as you can tell, not many http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/073.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/074.jpg LSP, was Bilt Hamber Autobalm. I love this stuff! http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/075.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/076.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/077.jpg |
Fuel Filler as well http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/088.jpg More engine bay pictures, I loved the result I got! Owner was very happy as well http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/089.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/090.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ailing/091.jpg This detail took a lot longer than I imagined. The car was massive though, it was to long to park in the garage. The garage door couldn't even close! Anyways, just thought I would share. Let me know what you think! I tried to document it a bit better than my previous ones. PM if you want a detail! Thanks for looking, Brendan |

^ Those pics show the shine from the AB, so I don't see a point in doing a close up of a "sun shot" as he didn't correct the paint. |

Oo those are some good prices, how much for an X3? Mine has horrible paint now since it was parked under a tree for 2 months... Really just the exterior, I just need to do a bit of touch up on the front bumper cos of a minor scratch, and desperately needs a clay... but interior is fine/don't really care cos its a lease ;) you'd have some amazing before and afters though But the exterior paint desperately needs a polish, Whats a single stage/three stage? |
