best way to remove tree sap? what`s the best way to remove tree sap? people say anything from wd-40 to alcohol works, but what is the best way to completely remove it? thanks! |
Is it caked onto your car? Claybar will remove EVERYTHING But will probably induce some light marring to your clearcoat, then you'll need a cut polish |

That stuff works wonders, it removed huge caked on bug splatter from my front |
Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover is great for sap removal and is very safe for use on paint. Keep in mind that if the sap has been on the paint for a long time, a stain may remain on the paint even after the sap is removed. |
carwash worked for me...don't do it with a lowered car though... |
a razor blade with lots of lube.... but it takes a little experience when doing something that insane haha. |

Goo gone. Kev |
My dad's X3 was parked under a tree for two months straight almost... I tried washing and waxing but the paint is pretty fucked up, definitely will be claying it eventually, although it is a lease return so meh. Paint shines but the surface is sorta bumpy, like not little dirty bumps but serious reflection bumps... So thanks for the advice guys! |
Try some hot soapy water. Then try products such as goo gone. If it is really caked in there, the claybar will most likely mar the paint a little like stated above. It can be done with a razor blade, but I would highly be against doing that if you don't know what you're doing. |
