masked/unknown numbers

i got a prank call from a number that came up as +100000000000

forgot how many 0s but the guy was pissing me off and knew me personally
is there any way to trace the call

ZhangFei 07-29-2009 02:39 AM

no my buddy called me from skype to see it just comes up as an unknown #

If you say you knew the guy personally, wouldn't it be pretty easy to cut down the list?

Skype gives off weird #s sometimes. It's not always a "Blocked ID".

OP, I think you're SOL. Unless the guy's threatening, your carrier won't just release the guy's ID. If he's Skype, you're double-SOLed.

call the police and said someone called you, knew your personally and threaten to kill you...I am sure the police will be able to trace who it is...;)

but then you really shouldn't be wasting police resource on such tiny matters...i'd say just forget it unless he keeps on calling back.

If you have friends who work at the phone company, they can usually help you trace the origin of the call too.
