Air Con Mosquito Question

Okay... for those of you that own a Aircon and it's the one that you have to attach the hoses to the window for ventilation... Is it POSSIBLE for the mosquitoes to get in thru the AIR INTAKE and blow out of my aircon? (My door's closed all the time and other in windows have those sand windows to prevent mosquitoes and other insects fly in)

Because I woke up to one mosquito but when I started whipping it, I ended up finding over 30 mosquitoes in an hour in my FUCKING room. holy fuck!

Right now, I think I have like zero left in my room but I"m fucking afraid to turn on my air con...

Thanks for the help in advance...

Depends on the system. Just like your car, there may be a switch to swap between Outside and Recirculate. Or your system might be fixed as one or the other. Check your manual or go online if unsure.

If in doubt, hit up Home Depot and pick up some of that bugscreen material, and drape/tape it over the intake. Problem solved.

Damn I wish I had aircon..

if ur attacking a hose to the window, is the whole window air tight secure?
with a hose sticking out a window, i imagine it will be pretty hard to have all the corners, etc covered.

mosquitions are good at fiding tiny gaps, so even if u have a screen, they come though the small holes at the very bottom and top of ur windows....

dont know about the intake part...

There is water pooling somewhere that is a breeding ground for the mosquitos.

is there a way of putting up a mosquito screen in front of the outside intake without getting it sucked into the a/c?

that airconditioner should have a filter in it.
