How to transfer video files from PC to PS3?

I want to transfer my blu-ray rip files into my PS3 but so far i havent been able to find a way. If anyone knows how to do this please help me out.
External harddrives and USB drives do not work so dont suggest that please.

setup a uPnP AV server on your computer. Then you can stream it to your ps3. Has to be done over wired network or else it will not work well.

google programs taht will break it down to 4GB files

I use TVersity, it can stream the video and convert it if needed on the fly, and it will let you copy your files onto the PS3. Running over a wireless network I never had video cut out and copying a full BluRay movie took about 4 mins.

That thing is so efortless.

-10000 for TVersity.
Please, I urge you all to try PS3 Media Server (stable, 1.10.51).
I guarantee you guys WON'T look back on TVersity.
With Avisynth 2.5.7 and VSfilter installed for subtitle playback, it's perfect.

TVersity was a pain in the ass to stream files flawlessly.

edit: if you decide to not want to transcode, because you have a weak computer, use mkv2vob to mux/transcode that HD movie file then either copy it to an flash drive, or play it through PMS.

Thank you to all suggestions but i decided to use Tversity. it was user friendly and simple. Im sure way2quik's method is just as good but i went with Tversity since it was the first one i got.

i tried both and find that PS3 Media Server work way better while TVersity gave me corrupted file on some video even thought they worked find on the PC. And TVersity seem to lag my comp alot more even when is idling.

hfs easier to use

you just use your PS3 browser and go to your IP addy, it will put you into the HFS program and you can browse for what files you want (same idea as ps3 media server etc just easier)
