it's like other boards i've been on with karma and other rating systems.

it always turns into a popularity or spam contest. i like the concept that the thanks i've received are real because of useful posts. or something funny too.

There still stunned but at least I get a laugh out of it then walk on in to the building/store. I don't have a problem doing this, I've never in my teenage/adult life not thanked someone for holding the door.

O yea when I was in Victoria....everyone thanks the bus driver when they get off.....I'm talking about public transit....it's kinda wierd but it makes the mood in the bus much less awkard.....and it kinda makes me happy when I'm off to school too~~

this is happening more frequently in Vancouver transit as well.. At least from my past experience, it's definitely been improving than a year ago.. =)

I'll thank drivers who haven't been assholes to other passengers if I get off at the front.

As far as RS is concerned, I don't really mind getting a thanks for giving people info. It just shows appreciation.
