Although some may say it is, I don't think downtown Surrey is a remote wilderness area or where animal preditors prowl the pawn shops and Skytrain stations.

my mistake. CFC website, which is associated with the RCMP in some way, shape, or form. ;)

I think I would rather be attacked by a bear in the woods, than a crack head in Surrey. Better chance of survival IMO :haha:

At least the bear uses toilet paper...if we can believe all those Charmin TV commercials.

or like the cop in Ontario last week who shot his gun 19 times at an un armed fleeing robber, and hit nothing but nearby houses and bedroom windows. makes you feel safe!....

I guess OPP training just ain't what it used to be!

Actually if you do a bit of searching you will find that is was in a "low light" situation, the subject was moving about and was known to carry firearms...and in fact took a firing stance. I don't know how many shots were near misses, or at what sort of range involved but it is very difficult to hit a moving target in low light, while under stress. Try it some time...believing that the armed robber is tyring to kill you at the time. Until you know all the circumstances and unless you have been there, one should not pre-judge.

^ even the average shooter at 7 yds in a nice controlled range environment doesnt always hit the 8x11 paper target.
