05 Jaguar sub issue

A customer brought in a PPI 2100 amp with a dvc4 MTX 7500 series 10" in a ported box. He wanted the box to fit into a certain area that was more pleasing to his eyes. He had already wired it up himself in a sort of way that it worked.

We made him a sealed box and fixed up his wiring. He paid and left another happy customer. 10 minutes later he comes back in saying that his sub turned off. We checked everything out. NFF. We sold him a new amp that would take a 2 ohm mono load, installed it...happy customer...

I get a call the next day. Sub cut out after leaving the shop. We changed the sub. Customer goes away happy.. for 15 minutes, then returns saying that it cut out again. We trade out his LOC, let it run hard in the shop for 20 minutes. No problem. Customer leaves feeling drained, as are we. 15 minutes later, sub cuts out.

WTF??!!!! Is it something in the deck?

send him by my way i'll look at it.
Its always good for a second pair of eyes? I'm sure you had the other guy look at it, but we have different trouble shooting methods?

Certainly one of those jobs that cause a bit of hair loss?

Does movement of the vehicle have something to do with it?

Interested in knowing what the fix was if this ever got fixed.

His factory sound system needed to be 're-flashed' This was done at the dealer under warranty. The problems went away afterwards.
