Dumb People

So I was just driving home from getting groceries and there is this guy walking along with his seeing eye dog.. This lady was bringing her yappy little dog for a walk and it saw the other dog and runs at it.. its running around and barking at it.. the other dog was sorta trying to ignore it but it was sorta hard cuz the other dog would run in front of it too. It was pretty obvious that the blind guy was getting pissed since he had no idea what was going on.
The worst part is the lady just kept walking normal like nothing was going on. In fact it almost looked like she thought it was cute that her dog was harassing this dog.
I was just about ready to go over there and boot the dog like a football. That lady obviously shouldnt be owning a pet. You arent even supposed to pet a working dog.

some people don't get it

don't take it out on the small dog though, dogs see another dog they usually go nuts, all happy and shit. if anything give the lady a backhand, then drive away before the light goes yellow, cuz i hate waiting in traffic, but for a show like that i'll wait a bit.

don't blame the dog, blame the owner.

Some people in this city have no respect to the elderly or handicapped. They care only about themselves, are clueless, and have no manners.

The general populace. Your typical Vancouverite is truly an asshole.

That's what pisses me off. They should stop being so clueless and selfish.

Small dogs (especially chihuahuas) are born to be obnoxious. I used to be a german shepherd owner and one day my dad's friend brought his chihuahua to my house. The chihuahua wouldnt stop barking at my german shepherd despite being 10x smaller. My dog had the whole "wtf?" face and staring at the chihuahua without blinking. Then all of the sudden my german shepherd gave a loud bark at the chihuahua. That shut the chihuahua up for good, the damn thing started shaking all over too.

So yeah, its not much to do with the owner, although she should have intervene.

The small dog doesn't know its a working dog. I'd boot the fuck out of the owner instead.

NiceGirl 08-09-2009 07:57 PM

blame the owner!

personally, i find that many small yappy dog owners do not feel the need to fully train their dogs. it seems like training only goes as far as teaching their dog where to poop/pee and how to sit. i also find that many small dog owners let their dogs do whatever they want, go where ever they want and bark at who ever they want.

once while my sister was trying to train our dog to ignore other dogs while on walks, one elderly woman (who had 3 small dogs in her car who wouldn't stop barking) had the nerve to actually pull over and tell my sister that she shouldn't correct our dog when he does something wrong, but to let him do whatever he wants. she seems to think that training a dog while he's a puppy is too early, and that you should wait until he's a full grown adult before starting training. wtf!?
