you my friend are up the creek.

CIC takes 12 months to get you a replacement cit card.
No cit card = no passport

best to go in person to an office and find out what you can do.

guess we have to kick you out of the country now

Looks like you're getting deported to Mexico. Adiós amigo!

You have a small birth certificate the size of a credit card, and then you got the big one the size of a normal piece of paper.

they charge you quite a lot for a temporary passport pass.

I lost my ID card as well. The embassy wants $150 or something if I want them to issue
me a temp travel pass.

ID card usually takes at least 5 months to verify your status and 5 months to deliver.
So at least 10 months before you can pick up your new ID.

Yes, you need 2 pictures + the big ass certificate + $75 or something. THe procedure is
on immigration website, go look for it.

Citizenship and Immigration has a huge variety of citizenship certificates and cards.

From about the 1940's to 1960's they were all paper certificates.

From the Mid 1960's to present they are all plasticized cards.

From the mid 1980's to present the plasticized cards come with commemerative certificates that are of no value. Only the plastic cards mean something.

When you order birth certificates from a vital statistics agency, you have the choice of a regular birth cert with just the regular info, and a long form birth certificate that states biological mother and biological father.

BC and other provinces have now changed their birth certificates and they are all the same size, about 5"x7" in size.
