Lotto max to replace Super 7, debut on Sept. 25  By The Canadian Press TORONTO - Canada's lottery lovers will soon have a new game to replace the Lotto Super 7. Drawings for Lotto Max, the latest addition to the national lottery line-up, will be held on Friday nights, starting with the first draw on Sept. 25. Like the Super 7, Lotto Max players must match seven numbers to win the jackpot. Players will get three chances to win for each $5 play - up from $2 for the old game. Jackpots will start at $10 million but if a jackpot is not won it will "roll" to the next draw date, reaching as high as $50 million. Once the jackpot reaches $50 million, additional prizes of $1 million will be drawn - giving more people a chance to win big bucks. Lottery officials announced in March that the Super 7 would be going into retirement. Super 7 used numbers between one and 47, while Lotto Max numbers go up to 49. The first Lotto Max tickets go on sale Sept. 19. |
Old news.... how's it a thumbs up??? it costs more and its A LOT HARDER to win |

but with it being harder to win than the 6/49 you'll see it hitting the cap of $50mil all the time, and if there was no cap you'd see it go way over $50 lotto max is basically a scam since it costs more, is harder to win, and has a cap |

If you want to put everything in perspective: Super 7 odds were about 1 in 21 million for $2. Lotto max odds are about 1 in 29 million for $5. I don't know about you, but I rather take higher odds to win and take less money. I be pretty happy with $1Mill! |
no the old one was $2 for 3 chances too |
its harder to win compare with super 7, but if you do win.. you win big.. thats all ~ either way you throwing your money down the drain, but i dont care ..get rich or die trying... haaaaaaaaa |

you have no chance in hell either way, everyone pitch in for yet another someone in Ontario to become a millionaire |

Can you imagine if it was a billion? No one would ever win hahahaha. Canada only has a population of ~33 million. |
The chances are so small of you winning anyways.. I'm sure anytime it goes over $50 million that money will just get carried over to other draws so it will just make more big winning draws.. |

the cap system is designed to pay for itself. you only need ten million draws over the course of the rollover for it to pay for itself when it reaches the cap, which it will and i can guarantee you with $50,000,000 up for grabs, people wont mind throwing down $5.... its the lower draws that people will skip. the stupid charity lotteries have conditioned people to pay more for greater chances at lower jackpots... this is similar but in the wrong direction. |
