Got around to picking up some more goodies. I'm really stoked that I finally got my rotary now, it's been a long long wait. I'll start off with my cart though. I found this at Costco in the states for $40. It's industrial strength, very easy to assemble, and great quality.

Had a "DOH" moment here, I just threw in my new Proline Grout Sponges along with some of my MF towels in the wash and they came out orange. They were originally yellow, oh well...I think they look better now. FYI these sponges are only $1.98 at Lowes, they're one of the softest grout sponges available and the pores are great for catching debris and keeping it off the paint.

Have you seen the stanley flashlight at canadian tire? it has a tripod so you can keep it standing while polishing so it frees up a hand :thumbsup: it's $20 too

Nice haul, man. Makes me jealous - I want a PC and some polishes/glazes to correct paint. That'll be the next step into more darkness, I guess, and more debt! :p

The PCs a great machine, but after using it I would rather use a rotary.
I spent a lot, but I bought a lot of my products in gallons so that saved me some money. Honestly the way I afford is by detailing and my own work. At first I spent $600 or so just on chemicals like degreasers, interior products, brushes, and accessories. I didn't see the need to buy a polisher, but now as more people are coming to me I thought I would pick one up. Thankfully the polisher wasn't money out of my own pocket, it's all the money I made from detailing. So thats how I can afford this, I work and by detailing. Hopefully now I just see straight profit:p. And no, my parents didn't pay for this.

I love the cart. Great price. Nice to see you're all organized.

I chose the flex over the PC because it's a well balanced machine and is quite a bit smoother. It also corrects quicker as it's not a random orbit. The PC however won't burn paint, where as the rotary will. But only if you're dumb enough too. I'll explain a bit more when you pick up your stuff;)

Yeah it's pretty good so far. I need to find somewhere to put all the stuff you're selling me:D

Just polished a test panel on my dads matrix. The paint isn't the best on it. I'm loving how smooth and light the flex is! Much better than the PC, glad I went with the Flex. Thanks so much Ken!

The PC is a bit lighter I would say. I know the Flex 3403 is lighter than the Makita 9227 by about 2lbs. The Flex isn't that heavy, in your hands when polishing it feels light and smooth. Very well balanced.

It's hard to explain but that might be it. The PC is definitely lighter, but the flex is a machine of it's own so you can't really compare it to the PC.

Thanks man, I honestly got into detailing just to do the family cars at first. But then people started coming and now it's almost a business:p. It's just a side thing though, I work part time as well. Thanks though
