Speaking of the Lumix, I'm waiting for this!

Yeah, larger sized sensor with less pixel density!

I'll be getting a few interesting shooting opportunities later on during the Olympics, but since I'll be working I won't be able to carry my 5D around that easily.

Senna4ever 08-18-2009 11:17 PM

Try looking at that new Panasonic GF1.

Thing is, I don't know if I want to invest in that lens system.

IMASA 08-19-2009 05:49 AM

With the Olympus micro 4/3's, don't they have adapter rings to fit canon/nikon/lecia lenses? However, it sorta defeats the purpose of having a small camera with you have a big honking lens.

Levitron 08-19-2009 03:02 PM

Hmm....G11, S90.....

!MiKrofT 08-19-2009 04:26 PM

Yeah G11 looks good. Low noise ftw? Will await reviews to find out.

Levitron 08-19-2009 06:01 PM

I'm actually quite excited for the S90. Very similar package to the LX3, and even smaller/sleeker.

Carry around - Canon EOS 500D (Canon Rebel T1i in North America)
Backup - Sony Ericsson C905 8.1MP. (Yes that's a phone. ROFL)

Senna4ever 08-19-2009 07:10 PM

I'd still choose the LX3 over the S90. The lens is better, but that's only because I don't mind not having the long end that the S90 lens has. YMMV.

2nd MKII? Damn! One of these days I'll buy my 1st MKII. Curious what kind of specs the 7D will have tho.

40D crapped out on me when I was in Europe a couple of weeks ago. Kept getting "error 99" and wouldn't shoot. Waiting to get back from warrany.
