Im in a pickle and I need help.... someone who knows engine swaps!

Well im probably one of the bigger noobs when it comes to cars, and believe me im trying to learn on my own before I head off to bcit but i need some help/information about a possible engine swap that i might do specificly putting a s14 blacktop sr20det into a 95 240sx. Instead of looking like a fool towards the whole community could i pm someone that knows some information about this sort of stuff to have questions filled.... they're pretty simple im just a noob.

Is this your own car, or are you doing it for someone else?

S13/S13 or S14/S14 is a direct swap. Wiring is the same.
Just get the FSM of the Chassis and the engine, then get the wiring diagram and ecu pinouts for both, and go from there.

Getting the thing in there is the easy part. Troubleshooting is the hard part.
I had a bitch of a time with my S13/S13 swap, and it's the easiest swap. Of course I figure it out after I'm sick and tired of it, and ended up selling it.

Go on S-chassis based forums like Zilvia, bc240 etc. Nico is useless.

can't some shops like cannonball do the engine swap for you if it's too confusing?

SpuGen 08-11-2009 11:15 PM

If you like getting ripped off, sure.

Theres tons of other shops that can do it for cheaper, and they won't steal your parts.
Search V240 for posts about Cannonball and how people got ripped off.
Some good, some bad.
But you don't hear of other shops jacking your shit.

Nothing is to confusing if i have all the information i need.
