| engine mount/insert
How many people actually changed their engine mount/inesrt?
i just recently got mine done, and after 1 week i think im gonna go crazy if i dont change back soon.
Looks like im gonna order some new oem mounts to put back
The car vibrates like a dildo at idle, first gear 1000-2000rpm rumbles, with fan on it vibs, with AC on its just...like a 2000rpm dildo lol 
how many people actually changed theirs and able to tolerate it?>???/
or is it just me
sure the shifting and all that is more solid but.....sacrifice a lot in terms of ride quality IMO

i did a $10 engine mount mod
got some oem mounts and then used roofing epoxy to "stiffen" the mounts
works great! with the Ingalls Engine Torque Damper, theres very little wheel hop and the ride is still very good, and the interior noise is still as quite as before (03 accord)

welll there is minimum wheel hop now
i can floor it in high rpm in the rain, and there will be about 10-20% wheel hop at the MOST

sounds like you bought yourself a decently stiff mount or insert if it's that bad.
the rumbling you can compensate for by getting into gear smoother and at a higher rpm.
it'll settle down a little after you wear it in a bit if it's any consolation, but it won't be night and day or anything. your only options are to just suck it up and get used to it, or settle for a lower durometer mount/insert.
and this time, do it yourself.

What insert/engine mount did you put in? After some break in time, the vibrations should become a bit better (really depends on the hardness of the mount).

i didnt dare going with the innovative 60A street mount
so i went with a cheaper solution first, the energy suspension insert
would it settle down a bit after?
its a DC5
with engine torque damper cause interior vibration as well?

the engine torque damper has a LOT to do with it and a lot to do with wheel hop
i had the torque damper 1st and i noticed it was louder inside and wheel hop was basicly gone with my engine mounts it was better but just as loud

Yeah, I just changed mine, it's now butter smooth. (new OEM mounts on 98 Lexus GS400) 
I've got my poly mounts done at Garage 5 on my Talon, it vibrates a bit more, but that's about it... I've changed all 4...... it's not that bad imo... especially the sub vibrates more than the mounts anyways. lol

I sat in an Evo with AMS engine mount. The throttle response is improved, but like you said, it vibrates like a fucking vibrating dildo. Personally, I use my car as a DD, so I wont sacrifice THAT much comfort.

a torque damper shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as a stiffer mount/insert from what i gather, and apparently it's more effective too. no first hand experience on that though, it's just what i read. i guess the only drawbacks are that it's more expensive and that it bumps you out of STS (if you care about autocross).
yeah it's a little bit more wear on your clutch but starting up at 1500 really isn't so bad. anyway it feels like you're destroying the car if you don't, and your passengers will think you're a n00b =p

i first went with the ES inserts on my civic. it was a lot stiffer and vibrated a lot. then i broke in a bit more and wasn't too bad.
i'm now onto Hasport mounts. definately stiffer, but i'm used to it now and i don't even notice it anymore. however, people that sit in my car notice it.
you'll get used to it dood. i drive normally with it as well and it's not bad at all (taking off in 1st gear at ~900rpm is fine).

75A vibrates less.
Both increases cabin noise.
Oh, and the first few weeks with the ESMM, it was nuts.

i had energy suspension polyurethane engine and transmission mounts. WAY TOO HARD. at idle my fillings were coming out.
i changed back to stock mounts, then used polyurethane in those caulk tubes. filled the gap. its a good balance between the performance and comfort.

im not familliar with the rsx mount design, did you just do some of the mounts or all? i did the 2 fronts in my DC, the change rattled like crazy and its was pretty wild, then i did the rear and everything quieted down, adding the 3rd mount in really improved the NVH

my last talon (laser actually) had all 4 mounts from energy suspension and the balance shaft removed from the engine
scared the shit out of people really, but being FWD with well over 350hp it was required
