My idea for GM http://www.nnauto.cn/nnauto/supercar...1024_x_768.jpg Before initial D, old school rear wheel drive corollas were worth next to nothing. They have a serious rust problem. A lot of people say that around 1999, they were worth something liek $1500 - $2000. Five years later, they're still worth $1500 - $2000+++ but with even more rust, km's, thanks to the initial D hype. I think that GM should make an anime about their cars to improve sales. That is all. |
How will making an animated series about old shitty rustboxes help GM to sell new cars? |
Keyword is used... GM doesn't make used cars, (depending on how you look at it I guess...) The point is to sell NEW cars, not old ones... And there was a movie, transformers! |

no no no! the story has to go: young guy walks into dealership buys family sedan races it school, work, and gf's house dude gets challenged to race to school, work, and gf's house by import/euro family sedan owners. he beats them every time it has to go like this or else people wont buy it |
In a Pontiac G8 this could be believable. Too bad that car is gone now. :( |

The Pontiac brand is still alive, until the end of 2010. And once the Pontiac badge is gone, the G8 is becoming the next Chevy Caprice. |
GM should make cars that can deliver tofu. |
they can just expand on the very beginning of tokyo drift or Toretto's Charger |
i'd love to see an anime where a guy is off roading in a Pinto It would be called "Explosive Roads" or something along the lines of that |

Pontiac is gone as of Jan 2010, and there will be no G8-based (Commodore-based, rather) Caprice. Plus I don't think there are many G8's left, and I don't think they're being produced anymore. |
i should just buy an AE86 and deliver pizza instead of tofu haha |
chevy chevette rwd 4dr hatch with a whopping 1.6L 86hp engine! |
GM need's to focus on improving the quality of all four core brands and strategically position it their target market. Customer needs to know GM is serious about coming back this time in a big way and each vehicle they make is going to be a winner. Let's face it 90% of people of who purchase a GM vehicle doesn't not watch car animation therefore does not justify the investment. |
Good thing your not on gm's payroll. |
Pfft.. they already sell the Commodore as a Caprice over in the Middle East. It wouldn't take that much to do the bumpers for North American markets. I suspect after this economic downturn bullshit rolls by, you'll still see that G8 as a Caprice here in Canada. I kinda figure GM will 'surprise' us with a revived Pontiac then as well ;) |
