Yes, so you have about 10L of fuel before you are bone dry.

Thats enough to take you roughly 150km, which should be enough to find a gas station.

!SG 03-14-2010 02:30 PM

whats the price right now? i think last time i went down it was 2.99/gallon.

skyxx 03-14-2010 02:50 PM

Near the border I believe it was 2.99-3.00. I went to Marysville(outlet area) to fill up and it was "2.85 9/10"

Not really racist! 03-14-2010 02:57 PM

I was in the states yesterday..

It was more expensive than I thought it would be, IIRC, it was like 3.06 by the border

skyxx 03-14-2010 03:29 PM

Well the border is usually more expensive. Nonetheless it's still cheaper than the price in Canada.

optiblue 03-14-2010 04:49 PM

do they even have 94?

!SG 03-14-2010 05:08 PM

no 94 in the states.

how to convert USD/gallon to CAD/L?

- USD/3.78 = USD/L, then price x current exchange rate. this should get you a rough idea on how much gas is compared to the displayed prices right now.

91 @ $3.25/Gal the best shit at your regular pump around here. There's a "special" gas station that has 104, but they charge $5-7/gal.

Iceman-19 03-15-2010 03:52 PM

What station is this? And where? PM me if you dont wish to share.

hchang 03-15-2010 04:52 PM

Filled up yesterday Unleaded Regular for $2.89 / Gallon at an Arco store by Bellingham:)

Don't know if they cheat people...but have had some pretty bad experiences with them. Went out with mom's Mercedes once, and put in some gas for her. I freacking told them clearly I wanted 92, but they put in 87. I talked to the manager and complained but all he said was that they'll pay for repair costs if anything went wrong.

Next time pay them exactly $11.3 (or however much gas is that day... $11.3 calculated for 1.13/L) and see how many Liters that gives you. It should be an even 10L.

There's some small gas station a few blocks from Bellis Fair that was $2.84 per gallon... that's where I filled up yesterday.

Then you should've deliberately cause a catastrophic malfunction to your mom's mercedes and blame the gas.

meh i hate going down to the states to get gas just because of the possibility of getting stopped and searched. I went down last week, customs officer checked my car for like 10 minutes on the spot, and then sent me to the side to get searched. Not to mention I had to wait in an hour line up inside the office BEFORE they searched my car. All just to save $15.

skyxx 03-16-2010 12:55 PM

I don't know who purposely goes down there for gas. If they do then that's pretty stupid. Go down there because you actually have something to do there not because you want cheap gas. Oh and it depends on how you converse with the officer when you cross the border. I always head down there with no issues.

I live near the border, and go down a fair bit usually to shop. How do you converse with the officer? I just answer their questions politely and cooperate whenever I'm asked to open my trunk, or turn off my vehicle.

You are supposed to act like a complete dick to them, as if you are better than them. It puts them in their place and shows you are a baller so they won't want to check your car.

If they DO happen to ask you to open your trunk and turn off the car, you should refuse and make them ask you AT LEAST three times before you actually do what you are told.

Then when they tell you to step out of the vehicle and put your arms behind your back, resist arrest until they break out the taser.
