and you guys didnt even pm me that you were coming. even clubs with only 5 cars pm'd me to book their spaces.

I pmed you 3 times to confirm and you confirmed back. I'm not complaining but you can't say I didn't PM you. The nissan infiniti club got scattered because we were told to park at the back corner...and then 10min after we were told that the spots for us were at the other end. So then only some of us moved.

!SG 08-17-2009 03:54 PM

nissan infiniti arrived late, their spot was still left open. because nissan/infiniti arrived late, the traffic volunteers were instructed to tell anyone that was arriving late to park whereever there was space left.

and the nissan/infiniti guys SHOWED UP AROUND 12:45 WHEN THE MEET STARTED AT 11AM

I got 3 groups to move out of the spot for nissan infiniti. dorikaze moved out of the spot for nissan/infiniti, rx-7 club moved out of the spot for nissan/infiniti, and i think the accords as well. so dont say i didnt put any effort in reserving the spot for nissan/infiniti.

and when i said YOU GUYS earlier, i was referring to rx-7s, not the nissan/infiniti club. i typed too fast, so i forgot to say "you guys were in the nissan infiniti club spot, not my fault they didnt decide to show til 12:45."

nissan infiniti club knew very well when the meet would start, why pick such a late time to meet up then roll together? the only conclusion i could think of is someone decided on the time so that they can be seen by everyone trying to be fashionably late.

even when you reserve a table at a restaurant, they can only hold the table for so long.

i even remember when nissan/infiniti rolled in, because when the group decided to roll right by in front of the tents where EVERYONE WAS STANDING, instead of just driving straight thru the back late, i took a look at my watch, 12:43 to be exact. this lead me to believe the lateness was due to wanting to be scene by everyone. no problem with that, thats the point of a car meet, to be scene by everyone. who was the fearless leader that decided on that roll in time?

I see, yeah it's understandable then, I just thought you meant I never pmed you. Anyways it was kind of a group decision, at first I said 11, but then like you said everybody decided to be "fashionably late"

Death2Theft 08-17-2009 04:24 PM

^^ That was probally Holly's idea cuz she's blonde.

!SG 08-17-2009 04:25 PM

well next time then, i did my best to hold out the spots. if u went to that area and saw, there was a big empty row in the middle of the lot.

shoei, we didn't come in as a club... it was just me and my buddy, we just parked next to the first RX7 we came across.

and don't listen to inaii, she wasn't even the one that had to move the car.... so i don't know why she's complaining... i didn't care that i had to move, and i don't think my friend did either.. it was like 5 spots? big deal, lol.

!SG 08-17-2009 07:19 PM

On behalf of BCMazda3, we'd like to thank you guys for showing up to our monthly meet. No, wait...

In all seriousness, Shoei, I think having a rough floor plan was a lot better then having clubs scramble and potentially fight for spots. I didn't speak about it, but we had an incident at the Spring Meet where a club we had shown some courtesy to by letting them get on the Spanish Banks Road, decided to block us out of spots. A really petty action on their part but it speaks to how concerned groups are about parking together.

Those who arrived on time to the summer meet, got to park as a group. The late stragglers can't cry foul. The show would look ridiculous if we kept rows open to groups that didn't show on time.

One of the best run RS events in recent memory. My only gripe? I didn't get to try out the rollover machine.

Kev

and i thank those clubs, took a lot of stress off my hands knowing exactly where to fit everyone.

Calm down. Our "club" consisted of 2 people at that time (the fb and my brother, one of your mods).

Though may I make a suggestion for next time? Possibly have some of the traffic helpers set out areas for specific clubs? We didn't know that it was the nissan club's area. All of us just thought it would be awesome to park there because it was a generation line (fb -> fc -> fd). And we thought we knew the fd (still trying to figure out if we did).

Though next time we'll be pm'ing you to book about 15 spots. Just for rotaries :D

otherwise this happens

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2601/...20f16a6fb1.jpg

The VW trailer driver stayed there for at least 30 secs, and jammed the entrance, we have to show more courtesy to movie goers etc., lol obviously the selfish fuck that i am just took a pic cos i thought his ride was cool :haha:

And maybe every ride that comes in gets a nice photo taken as they enter? that'd be tough during the rush though

to be fair, we were let go at 12-12:30pm. Why? because as I alluded to in the other thread, people who volunteer for standing way the fuck out in the entrance never usually get to attend the meet. I remember the last last spring meet, Tim and I stood on the entrance, tired as fuck, till the end, didn't attend any events/meet at all, and then Tim got whipped and was called away by *someone*.

So, please, next year, come help us, you take late shift, i take early shift, ok ma? XD
