You are mechanically inclined because you have a mechanical engineering degree?
So how many times throughout your amazing, prestigious and exclusive education did you actually physically work on a car?

shenmecar 08-20-2009 08:47 AM

i think this deserves a /thread about now.

ilvtofu 08-20-2009 08:51 AM

I didn't even know a mechanical engineering degree teaches you to fix cars

hk20000 08-20-2009 08:56 AM

having a mechanical engineering degree teaches you NOT to fix your own cars. Get a related job to pay for better cars is what that degree is about.

sounds like you have trust issues. try taking it to a proper shop where they actually care.

You know why they have an employee only sign? because worksafe BC requires them to. if a customer gets injured in the shop, the company is liable. i thought that was common sense?

apparently not everyone has the knowledge of COMMON SENSE, not so common now is it

:)

lol this threads funny. why dont you trust shops around here? maybe your not looking at the right shops? what about CG motorsport or SR auto? Theres lots of good shops that do work that will make your wallet cry for mercy no matter how much your condo is worth.

while true intake headers and exhaust are fucking expensive on my car? dinan intakes are 2 grand, dinan headers are 7 grand, dinan high flow cats are 3500, and my tubi catback cost 3400.

talk about making you broke with simple bolt ons. to piss on an open wound it burns through 20$ a liter oil every 1000kms and thats considered average consumption according to BMW.

You could build like... Two of my cars for that

you! 08-20-2009 01:08 PM

damn noobs

hk20000 08-25-2009 09:53 PM

bringing dead thread back because in my cheesy under .5mil townhouse I can't work on my cars even if I have the tools. Strata sent me this angry letter saying that they don't allow any sort of car repair on site. Even tho it's all happening within my garage perimeter.

WTF. FML. So yea I'll need a house to mod car like what Alderbridge says. Any way to fight this kind of retardedness? I mean I own this place, I can pretty much do anything within the law amirite?

1990TSI 08-25-2009 10:03 PM

find a better strata, or threaten them with their lives "especially if they go to the police"

shouldn't have a problem after that.

if you do, kill the bastards, they had fair warning.

ilvtofu 08-25-2009 10:11 PM

Yup they should no better than to come between a man and his car
