US Lotteries - MegaMillions and Powerball Do you have to be a US citizen/resident to claim your MegaMillions or Powerball prizes? Last time I bought MegaMillions in Seattle, the cashier told me I'm able to claim my prize without any hassle. I'm just making sure she wasn't BSing and the rules haven't changed in the past 2 years. How about for Powerball? It's limited to only 30 states, so could someone from Canada claim the prize? Thanks! |
Wait, you won millions. If I tell you the answer will you give me a portion of your winnings? Or just a brand new car? |
Call them and find out. Also this information could be found out on their websites. Just google it. How much did you win? |
If you won I could make your process smooth as silk for a small cut. Very minor cut. Just let me know. |
im a us resident ill claim your prize for you for free ;) and it doesnt state anywhere in their rules and regs that you have to be a us resident or a resident of the state it just says something like you have to go to the state you purchased the ticket to claim your prize (for multi-state lotteries) on a similar note the Italian lottery is up to like 157million Euros!!! 1 in 620+ million chance of winning though |

well you are able to win from gambling so I think as long as there's no rules stipulating that it's only for usa residents then you should have no problem. The best bet would be to go onto the megamillions and powerball websites and look at their disclaimers; I know BCLC has a site so you would think that this lottery would have their own site as well. |
although if you won the jackpot, you would probably start the US invasion of Canada lol |
