Need your OPINION!
 

Alright guys i recently purchased an 03 RSX-s and ofcourse my stock BOSE Headunit crapped out on me. After rolling around without any sound for almost 2 months i have decided to get a Double Din DVD reciever (something i always wanted.)

Anyway since this is going to cost me a pretty penny i have two in mind and i wanted to get some opinions on both. First we got the Pioneer AVH 3100DVD deck with a 5.8 display, USB, Ipod Ready all that junk which is going to cost me $500.00 for the unit alone. Then we got the JVC KW- AVX 720 which comes with a 7" display and pretty much the same specs and only $450.00 from 3D sound. (Sketchy Place to buy?)

Now install wise i also have a problem, does the RSX need a bypass module to wire in the stock amps and speakers ive asked this alot on CRSX but didnt really get a straight answer and second whats a good place to do it? Visions overcharges like mad but very good at what they do ( i used to work there :) or Ralfs Radio which also charges quite alot. So in the end this is going to cost me close to $1000.00 is it worth it??? I dont really have money to throw around but hey i really want it... or should i just get some single din MP3 player and call it a day? thx :thumbsup:

If i were you I'd just get a simple single din head unit, a nice one is only about $200?
You probably won't be watching much videos etc. while driving neways, unless you want to fap while driving XD (gives a whole new meaning to stick shift)

But yeah a nice single din would be what I'd do, cheap and simple

Car audio forum would be better for this, and it will eventually get moved.

I love it.
Sometimes I put on porn and specifically drive next to Buses for fun. Then I blast it through my Pioneer Premier 6.5 Comps and let the people on the bus feel awkward as they hear the ass pounding and hear a nice thud thud thud from the sub. The Speakers have really good range cause those little Japanese girls shrieking/crying/"annn YAMATE AHHNNNNNN" really gets their attention thanks to the tweeters.

Also installed by Mike, Keith, and the team at Sounds Good.

Luckily, my porn stash is safe thanks to the Compustar PRO 2way FM that Sounds Good also installed.

I don't know what I would blast while I'm rolling down Robson Street if it weren't for Sounds Good. Loud ass Rap music is a thing of the past. The new shit is to blast Japanese Porn through your system that was installed by Sounds Good.

Lol yup that was me... (embarassed azn glow) I had no idea my handbrake was up, so when i reversed in it stalled... I'm the only noob who doesnt stall going forward and stalls going backwards, there're so many lights on my dashboard that i ignore so i didnt see the "BRAKE" one :haha: that and i drove all the way from misc to where i was after with the handbrake on and totally can't feel it, i swear my handbrake sucks, staying up hills on ubc it'll barely hold the car if you pull it all the way up!

Thats a good enough reason for getting a dvd player, although you could always get an ipod hookup and view it that way

Reverse doesnt have synchros so if your input shaft hasnt spun down by the time you shift it into reverse it'll grind. next time try putting it into first gear and then to reverse to avoid grinding.
