Don't lose that one... because the train always wins!

I should have taken pics of the pieces of brain we found on that one locomotive... since the guy wasn't using it anyway..

So your telling me youv NEVER went above the max. speed limits.. ever?
Youv never gone past 80KM/ on highway 1?
Youv never gone past 50KM/hr on marine?

Yes i was driving past the max limit, but i wasnt SPEEDING. How is 35 Miles/hr considered speeding?

are you aware of how stupid you are? or is it blissful ignorance?

a little of both.

To be honest, we all drive above the speed limit here. 60 in a 50 zone is commonplace...60-70 on Boundary Rd, Marine Dr, etc. is VERY common.

The fact that the OP gets caught all the time in the states is just plain unlucky. She musta pissed off God or something because I can't imagine that happening unless she was speeding excessively.

do you get points for a speeding ticket in the states? my friend was doing 73 on a 60 and he's gonna send a money order in. but just curious if theres points?

No points from ICBC as it didn't occur in BC.

I had a "warrant" out for my arrest as well. as soon as I paid the ticket it went away. I even called the DMV down there and the police to make sure it was clear. I've crossed the border like 10 times since then and been through a road block. No problems thus far...

which part do you think is bs???

falcon 09-07-2009 08:49 PM

that they made him go to jail after paying the ticket.

if that was the case, my warrent would still be active after paying mine. and since I've called and it is no longer active... I call BS that he HAD to go to jail.

wow you should really use the search button as this seems to come up once a year. My friend was caught speeding down there about 7 years ago, he didn't pay and eventually they sent a letter to his house stating there was a warrant out for his arrest down there. His parents got ahold of this letter, took him down there and he spent a week in jail and iirc paid about $1000.

always wondered about what the real consequences of getting a ticket in the US were. thanks.
