lolwut

Looks like an ITB'd SR20DE of some sort?

1990TSI 08-25-2009 07:17 PM

It's not a Nissan motor, They pulled an SR20 out for this.

hence the only in korea title haha.

not many people know this motor yet, so it should make sense now.

Suprarz666 08-25-2009 07:19 PM

genesis?

skyxx 08-25-2009 07:21 PM

A Hyundai 2.0L Turbo Theta engine!!!!

1990TSI 08-25-2009 07:30 PM

That's the one. in an S14.5

kinda messed with my mind a bit, but I suppose the SR20 is a dying breed these days.

apperently the guys had too many troubles with the SR20s so they dropped in a Theta engine tranny and ECU.

I love how far back it sits in that huge bay. The motor in real life is pretty short, looks like it would take 15 minutes to pull out of a Genesis

I once did an engine rebuild on a Hyundai/Kia. I can pick it up with two hands. No joke.

1990TSI 08-25-2009 07:38 PM

heh I've only ever done that with my old samurai. re and re in about 4 hours.

used a hoist but didn't need to. (carried the thing around like a baby from hoist to shop etc.)

my first motor swap too haha

THE GENESIS ENGINE@!!! lol

!Tigger 08-25-2009 07:51 PM

got more pics? lol after its hacked maybe this will be the new engine swap

1990TSI 08-25-2009 09:59 PM

could be, It's $$$ right now though.

capable of 350hp on a stock block, and there only 2 cases of them blowing in north america since feb when they came out.

one was pushed well over 400hp and had a rod failure, the other was stock and it was a casting issue in the bottom end.

That "Engine Holder" is an interesting contraption. What happened to cherry pickers?

hk20000 08-25-2009 10:22 PM

engine holder is made to hold the engine in place without a subframe so it can be fabricated/modified to work with the engine in a very steady position.
