For those who are going to see this, please consider a few things. It will make this a lot more enjoyable. This movie was by Nolan, he did Momento for those who remembered. It was THE movie that put him on the map. This movie was written and directed by him. It's a long 2:30 hr long movie + the previews, please please please ensure you don't go to the bathroom, you'll miss a lot if you don't watch the entire thing.

This movie is a mind fuck movie. IF you did NOT get shutter island and what the entire crazy reality of shutter island, I do not think you would appreciate this movie. It has a lot of imagination and a lot of "putting the story" together moments where you have to think. The only previous movie with mine fuck = Saw and Shutter island, this one was 7/10. Previous similar genre movie would be Matrix and inception would be 10/10 based on sci-fi...

Inception was done really well, it was a very very long movie and the first hour of the movie sets the tone of the movie and plays a crucial part of the ending also so please, if you're going to be late for 20 min, don't bother watching.

The movie: I have to say, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page did a decent job. Ellen Page (from Juno) is considered a B to C list actresses so it was good to see her doing a movie with Leo and so is Joseph, (500 days of summer). Leonardo DiCaprio is another story, he did shutter island, revolutionary road and Body of lies and I'm glad he's choosing some good scripts to do however, his acting skills is still very linear. He's good but he hasn't really wow-ed me with the acting.

'Nolan planted each and every possibility in our minds to see what we come up with as though it's our own. It's not, Nolan put it there. That's Inception. If I'm right about this, and this was Nolan's intention all along, then from the relationship of the director and his audience, this is possibly the most brilliant movie of all time.'

I would definitely recommend everyone to see this movie. It is definitely worth the money.

Inception is not mindfuck. It does, however, involve a lot of thinking.
(Unlike Shutter Island, which was mindfuck when 90% of the movie is the made-up fantasy of Leonardo, and only the last 10% was reality)

Agree to Kaolinite's comment that the movie Inception is itself, Inception. The audience is fed details throughout the movie, and yet the last scene can cause a debate that can get more heated than the HST campaign.

Imo, the movie was a lot of fun to watch. Was it really epic? I wouldn't go that far. But there was quite a bit of stuff that I missed and would definately watch a second time when it comes out on dvd.

we need a discussion thread for this movie, instead of a bunch of spoiler tags, i shall make one.

As harsh as you sounded, I actually agree. Discussions about more elaborate themes and complex points in the movie is fine and all.

But seriously, no, it does NOT take a "complete genius" to figure this movie out, at least for the most part. Especially regarding just the major plot points/events.

Speaking of which:

I can guarantee that anyone who makes this claim, and calls people dumbasses, is far more confused than anyone else :lol
