Every time i see ITBs, it makes me want to pee in them.

sounds mean. the Haltech and ITB'd 1uz makes me think this is in Australia or the UK. those guys apparently love their 1uz and ITBs.

here is one stuffed into an AE86.

Mugen EvOlutioN 08-28-2009 09:41 AM

wat kind of advantage do itb get? other than being more responsive, what kind of power would one be seening?? wouldnt the engine gets filled with dirt after awhile since its basically filterless???

:confused::confused::confused:

you can add filters on top of the stackers.

tanner foust's rockstar scion tc driftcar has a shoehorned v8 in it, (i think its the 4.3L toyota/lexus)

you can run some kind of foam insert that goes over each velocity stack. that will allow you to have some kind of air filtering.

power wise, you won't see any leaps or bounds. it's pretty much all about engine response and the sexy sound you get from the ITBs. gains are usually just 5-10hp on a 4 cylinder engine. supporting mods will help with the overall power output of course. on a v8 like the 1uz, you could probably see more power gains, 15hp maybe?
