2010 Lincoln MKS with EcoBoost Pricing Starts at $47,760 (US)

Lincoln has priced the new 2010 MKS with Ecoboost at a base price of US$47,760, excluding destination and delivery. The 2010 Lincoln MKS is the first Ford Motor Company group vehicle to receive the new 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine for the 2010 model year. This motor is flanked by two small turbos that spool up quickly in order to reduce the much-dreaded turbo lag problem. The two spinners are designed to last 150,000 miles (241,402km) or 10 years.

Peak power comes to 355hp (261kW) and maximum torque is 350 ft-lb (475Nm) made between 1,500rpm and 5,250rpm. Despite all that power Ford is adamant the 4WD MKS will return at least 17mpg in city driving and 24mpg in highway driving.

The standard car comes fitted with 19-inch aluminium wheels, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive headlamps and a rear window power sunshade. Inside there are steering wheel paddle shifters for the 6-speed automatic transmission, a push button start system and ambient lighting.

itll be around 63 grand here

ilvtofu 08-29-2009 06:26 PM

63 grand... at least it looks better than the taurus everyone flamed, but 63k is steep, And isn't this a fairly understeery chassis to begin with?
Still'd take the S4 over it even though it's smaller, maybe an S4 avant if they ever sell it here :)
Otherwise, a CTS-V would be sex

!Aznboi128 08-29-2009 11:19 PM

only thing I don't like about it is the stupid tails

reminds me too much of the Suzuki Liana

ilvtofu 08-29-2009 11:30 PM

Isn't the liana the aerio?
Do you mean the lacetti?

Lol i might be getting my reasonably priced cars mixed up...

!Aznboi128 08-29-2009 11:35 PM

I duno.... lol but it reminds me of it hahaha

StylinRed 08-30-2009 02:05 AM

asian_XL 08-30-2009 05:51 AM

I had a black Zephyr before I moved overseas. Awesome car. The interior touches were as good as BMW or Merc and it looked mean.

having a 63k ford is like having a 63k VW Phaeton

I just looked in my manager's book:
Suggested retail for the 2010 MKS w/ GTDI (ecoboost) starts at 52,999cdn. (+~$1400 frieght + pdi)

Most of them will have the GTDI 'vision package' which is a $6500 option, but it comes with a boatload of features - Navigation, front and rear radar, camera, etc etc etc

So that's about $61,000cdn - MSRP. But there are always rebates on them, so expect it to be more like $55,000cdn. Pretty decent deal when compared to any other brand with similar size, features, and performance.

GTDI starts at $50,894

but there's rebates on them now so its $47,963

the AWD 3.7L (gtdi is 3.5L) is $47,834 but is now $44,834

Mugen EvOlutioN 08-30-2009 08:13 PM

doesnt matter if its $50 g or $60g

no one in their fucking right mind would or should be buying one of these

the resale value is gonna be half price after 2-3 years

asian_XL 08-30-2009 09:14 PM

2-3 years down the road, when the price is cheaper, people will think it is fun to snap on two big turbos and do some tweaking.

There will be some supporting on the resale value.

Riiight... Ever see the resale value of a 4 year old 750Li???

StylinRed 08-31-2009 01:27 AM

resale value of a 6month old rolls even ;) half the price lol

Mugen EvOlutioN 08-31-2009 08:42 AM

that is true too, higher end vehicles resale value drops a lot for the first 3 years.

shenmecar 08-31-2009 08:56 AM

355hp, 350ft-lb......

Wont be long before someone chip the damn thing and send those two numbers through the roof. Then you'll have a Lincoln sedan chasing down M3s. LOL! Not so ECO anymore!!

!LittleDragon 08-31-2009 09:27 AM

I don't know why resale is such a big selling point. Not everybody likes to switch cars all the time. I tend to drive cars to the ground before moving on. If it still works, I'll still have it unless I need something different.
