HELP my display is blowing up!!!!! Hey fellow computer users I got a new GeForce 9800 GTX+ about 9 months ago. When I run my games the screen turns funny (there is a picture attached) I also get a nvlddmkm error. I am running Vista at the moment. What am I to do? http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/8474/dfhgdafhg.jpg The power supply is a 750 Watt supply. Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU E8400 @ 3.00Ghz RAM: 4.00G System Type 32-bit Vista System Model: nForce 750i SLI |
Have you checked the video card drivers or update DirectX? |
update all drives first |
seem like either your card is overheating or in the process of dieing. I have something like this happen to me to my gtx 280. Lucky i was able to RMA it to get another one. Take the card out and clean it up see if that help. As for nvlddmkm error, vista is very picky on ram.. most of time that error occur because you have a faulty ram stick. you're best would be test each of those ram stick one by one. |
Uninstall drivers from control panel. Use Driver Sweeper. Reinstall latest drivers from Guru3D. |
try different/newer drivers first...if the problem persists, I'd guess overheating or hardware fault |
thanks guys |
Do what the other suggest and run a video stability test for a few hours I use OCCT http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php?Download |
