Cheap tire dismount

Where do i find a cheap place to dismount 17" off?

I know Advanced is $5 to dismount but they are 40 mins away from me...
preferrably Vancouver/Richmond/Burnaby area.

crappy tire wanted $90 JUST to take tires off.... WTF

quality do not matter, i don't care about scratched rims.

godwin 08-30-2009 01:00 PM

reciprocating saw? crowbar?

TRDood 08-30-2009 01:00 PM

i need to sell those tires after.

Rikaro 08-30-2009 01:41 PM

^ what he meant was to saw the rims and crowbar them.

thumper 08-30-2009 02:59 PM

is crappy tire the only place you called? what about volco/ok tire/advance automotive (rmd)/etc?

TRDood 08-30-2009 04:20 PM

crap tire is the only place that opens today. (Sunday)

If you have friends who work at dealerships, some of them have the machine, it's a 2 beer job ;)

Teamwork on Kingsway is cheap. But you might have to wait.

maxx 09-01-2009 08:07 AM

midas.. 3 bucks a tire

jack_dangerous 09-01-2009 08:25 AM

ya why don't you just call around to all those franchise places and get a quote...i got my 17s done fore 20 cash for 4

Expresso 09-01-2009 10:05 AM

$5 is usually the norm to remove, its mounting that is killer

!SG 09-01-2009 10:19 AM

naaa, its just as tough to remove a low profile tire as it is to mount.

especially if the tire has been on the wheel a while.

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-01-2009 11:29 AM

$90 to remove tires? wtf to the max

just spend the extra effort and drive to advance?

TRDood 09-01-2009 11:59 AM

dropped off my tires at Big O for $20.

damn, should have went to Midas for $12.

Big O is ghetto, but watever does the job.

Drift_Monkey 09-03-2009 11:38 AM

so where's the cheapest place to mount tires without alot of rim damages.

I bought tires from Big O before and they kind of scrapped off the clear coats off the edge of my stock rims.

!SG 09-03-2009 03:41 PM

you get what u pay for

u find a cheap place to mount/dismount, u risk ur rims being all scratched up. 1)older machine 2) not as skilled guy working on ur tires.

The_AK 09-03-2009 04:37 PM

try calling Volco tires on Bridgeport?
