I am totally not sure of this movie.

R8 08-31-2009 06:07 PM

Honestly, when I saw it on TV I was confused as hell. Everything was so random and confusing... I don't even know what its about, and it looks more of a video game than a movie.

From piecing together what the fuck is going on and from the Wiki, World War 3 destroyed the planet, and there's 9 of those weird ass doll freak things that have to destroy the company/machines that caused the destruction.

Trailer is fucking pointless, and I don't really like the animation style.

Kamui712 09-01-2009 10:50 AM

this is like little big planet on steroids! I'm in!

Nintensity 09-01-2009 11:20 AM

directed by tim burton FUCK i'm down

winson604 09-01-2009 01:18 PM

When I first saw the trailer in before watching Transformers I was like fuck yea haha. Mind you I was fucking ripped at the time but Tim Burton plus Little Big Planet on steroids like somebody mentioned I'm in haha.

Both of the trailers for 9 are full of win because they each use Coheed and Cambria's track Welcome Home.

More win, I just played that song on rockband...

One more thing Tim Burton did not direct this movie, Shane Acker did, who?, dunno...

Tegra_Devil 09-02-2009 08:48 AM

its gonna be good..

DanHibiki 09-10-2009 01:59 AM

It was MEH.

It's nothing new. Basically take a bunch of ideas from similar real-life movies and throw them together and BAM. 9.

It was ok tho. I enjoyed the graphics.

urrh 09-10-2009 10:38 AM

i say half way inbetween rental and theater worthy.
felt really short, like it was ready to end just as it was getting good

welfare 09-14-2009 06:32 AM

i dunno. i hadn't been to the theater in years, but took my niece to see this last night.
i thought it was great. being computer animated, it did have an advantage though.
the whole idea seemed reminiscent of the period following the extinction of dinosaurs and the uprising of our own distant relatives
8.75/10

StylinRed 09-14-2009 09:22 PM

I just watched it, it kept you engrossed and the animation was great

but i dunno came out with a "meh"

edit: wow didnt think everyone else would have the same reaction :)

twitchyzero 09-21-2009 10:07 PM

is the character inspired by sackboy from LittleBigPlanet?

DanHibiki 09-21-2009 10:12 PM

9 was originally a 10min animated short created back in 2005 so...no.

muteki 09-21-2009 10:12 PM

^ SackBoy is clearly a Domo rip off =O
