Lots of (rather dumb) people thought it wouldn't be a problem putting those torchieres next to things like curtains and racks full of chemicals, and a lot of houses burned down as a result. They make crazy good heaters though. People still use a version of these things on constructions sites for drying paint and for lighting up unfinished rooms. |
