why not do it yourself? It's not rocket science. Order parts from Ebay or DealExtreme DS Lite disassembly video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRzTgfo2PsM |
Super easy DIY, Just make sure you get the proper one for your DS. Since retuns @ DX are a bitch. |
i disassembled my entire dsl. top screen still blurry/black-grey. would getting a new top screen help? or is it a loose wire? Cause of this occurred when I opened up my DS in the first place. http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/2683/dsc00908.jpg |
^ Loose wire |
unplugged the screen, replugged.. no go. |
Was it like that before you opened it? Did you remove the top part from the main body? Damage can occur when you're trying to reattach the flip joint. As such- you may have to replace the top lcd. If you're comfy with soldering stuff- you can do it yourself as the speakers are soldered onto the lcd flex cable. |
I opened the bottom casing, had not removed the motherboard any anything. Screwed everything back on and the screen was like that. Been for 1 year since then. Didn't know DX sold the top screen for $11. I guess it's money I'll invest. :O If it doesn't work then, I'll smash the DSL into pieces :D |
