store open when under renovations can a retail store remain open when a part of the store is under renovations ? is there any regulations that say the store must cease buisness when it is under renovations ?? |
Not sure but I've been to many retail stores that are open while construction is happening. |

i don't think so as long as WCB regulations are enforced. i still remember huge sections of metrotown being renovated with tarps, temp drywalling and scaffolding everywhere and people were still able to shop. |
We do work in stores that remain open from time to time. Usually they'll drape poly (plastic) to help with the dust. |
typically employers can do total particulate and respirable dust monitoring if there is an issue with employee health. There is a guideline that is followed. |
that is what the inspectors make sure of, that it is safe for ppl to still shop |
